Leader in high-tech industrial robots and devices, the Daihen Corp. held the completion ceremony for its new Pyeongtaek Plant in Hyeonkok Industrial Complex located in Cheonbuk-myeon, Pyeongtaek City on June 16.
Daihen Corp. has expanded its initial investment of 15,000 pyeong, $3 million to 2,300 pyeong, $4.6 million.

Daihen Corp. takes 2nd (28%) in the world’s market share on welding robots, 3rd (14.5%) in LCD panel convey robots and 5th (5.3%) in wafer convey robots. Manufactured robots will be supplied to other global enterprises such as Samsung Electronics, LG. Philips LCD and Hyundai.

The advance of this world-class enterprise into Gyeonggi-do will not only contribute to local development but also greatly benefit to the Korean industry.

The investment promotion party attended the ceremony with the economic investment administration chief, Han, Seok-kyu on behalf of the provincial governor Soh, Hak-kyu, who is currently on a business trip to the US, Europe and Asian regions. Through the congratulatory address, the Gyeonggi government promised the improvement of business environment such as education, residence and transportation, and post services will be provided through the newly established ‘Foreign Investment Company Support Office’.
