In commemoration of nation’s great festival, Chuseok, the Provincial governor, Kim Munsoo made a surprise visit to those of our lonely neighborhood with no family.

On October 1, Governor Kim made a tour around 5 welfare facilities within a province(Hymn Rest House, Hyerim Rest House, New Hope Rest Home, Anyang Haegwan Nursery House, and Euiwang Rest House) and passed a warm word of encouragement. Governor spent a great time with every single disabled in Hyerim Rest House and also shared a warm heart with the aged in Hymn Rest House receiving the scented lucky bag that is made by the residents of such rest house. During the round tour he highlighted the need of improvement in the welfare facilities and the working environment for the social worker.

He also made his personal commitment on the refurbishment of the special facilities for the aged with intensive care in Hymn Rest House. “Current 2 shift working operation is still a great sweat to those of social workers who look after the disabled for 24 hours a day. 3 or 4 working shift shall quickly be implemented.'” said the governor by stressing the importance of the working environment improvement. “It is also very important to learn systems and operations of the advanced countries by providing chances of overseas study to social workers.” added by the governor.

“Since a divorce rate in Korea keeps increasing every year, we need to have an adequate facility for the children to grow up with a bright mind and confidence. However, the improvement on welfare facility cannot be achieved by a single person, we all need to put our hands together to do this!” commented by the governor Kim.
