Kicking off with an event on October 21 to celebrate the eve of the DMZ Documentary Film Festival, the 1st DMZ Documentary Film Festival will be held at the DMZ in the Civilian Control Line area and the Paju Book City area. The festival is hosted by Gyeonggi Province, Paju City and the Organizing Committee of the DMZ Documentary Film Festival, and organized by the Gyeonggi Performing & Film Commission and the Gyeonggi Digital Contents Agency.

The first international documentary film festival to be held in the world’s only DMZ will feature more than 60 documentary films. Visitors can watch world-renowned films and enjoy a range of auxiliary events.

Concurrently, the “2009 DMZ DOCS Peace March” will be held from October 18 to 22, during which participants will walk along the DMZ from Goseong of Gangwon Province to Paju of Gyeonggi Province. Participants are required to register at the website (www.dmzdocs.com) by October 7, 2009.

In addition, the “DMZ Peace Bike-Riding Event” will be held on October 24 and 25, 2009. Various celebrities as well as domestic and foreign guests who draw lots through pre-registration will participate in the bike tour, which will run from Pyeongwha-Nuri Park to Dora Observatory via Unification Grand Bridge.
