On the same day the Gyeonggi Provincial Government signed an investment agreement equivalent to USD 40 million with Ardentec, a Taiwanese semiconductor tester, in the Suwon Ramada Plaza Hotel. Ardentec the world’s tenth largest provider of semiconductor testing solutions, agreed to build a semiconductor test center in Gyeonggi Province.

The provincial government expects that Ardentec’s investment will generate approximately 100 new jobs and enable domestic semiconductor companies to test wafers within the province without seeking assistance overseas. Accordingly, the time and expense for testing are expected to be reduced dramatically.

After signing the agreement, Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Moon-Soo said that he is dedicated to supporting the corporate activities of Ardentec and asked it to create jobs for youth and to contribute to the local economy.
