Gyeonggi hosted the 2013 Gyeonggi Province Foreign-Invested Companies Day event in Gwanggyo Hall of Gyeonggi Small and Medium Business Center (GSBC) for executives of foreign-invested companies and related organizations in Gyeonggi on December 11.
Over 170 participants from companies and organizations including Gyeonggi Association of Foreign-invested Companies President Lee Byung-rak gathered in one place to round off the year 2013 and seek ways to collaborate in the future.
“Gyeonggi is making efforts to provide better services, but companies are still facing difficulties due to difficult situations of the local government and too many metropolitan regulations,” said Governor Kim in the opening address. “Companies are recently worried about REACH(act on registration and evaluation of chemical substances) and Chemical Substances Control Act (act on management of chemical substances). We must create an environment in which business activities can be conducted freely.”
He also added, “Gyeonggi is doing its best to provide the best conditions for companies to enjoy business activities freely by proposing the Special Act on Job Creation . If there are companies considering investment in new manufacturing facilities or R&D facilities, please consult Gyeonggi Province.”
