Korea’s most innovative products gathered in one place.
Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Small and Medium Business Center (GSBC) announced on August 25 that 2014 G-FAIR Korea will be held from October 1 to 4 in the first exhibition hall of KINTEX in Goyang City.
Organized by GSBC and hosted by the Small and Medium Business Center Association (SMBCA), the 2014 G-FAIR Korea will feature over 1,000 booths operated by approximately 800-odd companies and showcasing a variety of items including electric and electronic products, IT products, fashion and beauty commodities, leisure products, gift items, and agricultural products.
A number of innovative companies, which are challenging existing markets with cutting-edge technologies and creative ideas such as electric vehicles and dry shampoo, are participating in the fair and drawing considerable attention.
UITech Co., Ltd., which has developed robot software for educational purposes and launched a series of educational robots, is a company that specializes in robotics products, and is recognized as a leader in the integrated industry of IT and content.
Big Brother Best is challenging the market with eco-friendly and pollution-free electric vehicles. Vehicles equipped with pollution-free but high-performance and cutting-edge technologies will be on display during the exhibition, including an electric scooter for medical use, an electric cart for agricultural use, and a one-person car for transporting the disabled.
The Korea Sourcing Association (KOSOA), a producer of dry shampoo, is also drawing attention. With its dry shampoo, KOSOA reached the threshold of USD 5 million in export sales on December 5 last year. Offered in two types for indoor or outdoor use, the dry shampoo is an innovative product that can be used in diverse circumstances including hiking, camping, fishing and exercising.
GSBC will invite a large number of well-known overseas buyers and schedule one-on-one business meetings, thereby providing a stepping stone for companies that seek to enter global markets. Featuring the Start-up and Innovation Pavilion and more, the fair will reflect growing innovation trends across all societal sectors.
Gyeonggi Province expects that the exhibition will contribute to new market openings both home and abroad for SMEs, as well as to exports, job creation and the vitalization of the local economy.
Gyeonggi Province and GSBC closed the exhibitor list about two months earlier than last year, with the target number of 800 companies having already applied as of July 31. Last year’s fair, with a total of 1,208 booths operated by 903 companies, received some 80,000 domestic visitors as well as approximately 800 foreign visitors, and achieved results such as more than 5,400 business meetings and contracts worth USD 678 million.
