The Railroad Museum is a special museum presenting various the aspects of the railroads in Wolam-dong, Uiwang, Gyeonggi-do. It was established to improve awareness of the history and culture of railroads as a way of life for the public and large-capacity transportation since the first operation between Noryangjin and Jemulpo in 1899.

The museum originated when the Railroad Memorial Hall opened in the workshop of the Railroad High School in Yongsan in 1981. Bugokwan, the first Railroad Museum, was opened in Bugok, Uiwang, Gyeonggi-do in 1988 and Seoulgwan, the second Railroad Museum, in Seoul Station in 1997. Seoulgwan was then closed and integrated into Bugokwan. The museum displays about 3,000 exhibits in both indoor and outdoor exhibition spaces. The first ground comprises a History Hall, Rolling Stock Hall, Railroad Experience Hall, and Mock Railroad Panorama Hall. The second floor comprises an Electricity/Signal/Communication Hall, Facility/Maintenance Hall, Operation Hall, Future Railroad Hall and Multimedia Hall.

The outdoor space displays a variety of steam locomotives and compartments. The museum is open from 09:00 to 18:00 from March to Oct. and 09:00 to 17:00 from Nov. to Feb. The museum is closed every Monday, the day following public holidays and national holidays.
