Gyeonggi Province opens ‘Medical Korea Gyeonggi’ to promote advanced medical technology
New website contains information on medical institutes for foreign patients, accepts online consultation inquiries, and allows users search for tourism packages

On August 10, Gyeonggi Province announced the launch of its new service with the ‘Medical Korea Gyeonggi’ (koreamedical.or.kr) website, which is offered in English, Chinese, and Russian to attract foreign patients.
‘Medical Korea Gyeonggi’ is a merger of existing websites operated by the Gyeonggi International Medical Association (www.e-gina.org) and Gyeonggi Medi-tour Center (www.gmeditour.or.kr).
With regards to the new website, a provincial official explained that the merger took place to create synergy by offering information on advanced medical technologies and various tourism options in one website.
The new website has been built primarily to aid consumers by allowing them to easily search for information including medical services offered to foreign patients at key hospitals , as well as useful medical information. In addition, Gyeonggi Province increased the accessibility of the website by directly placing frequently used service menus and key information on the main page.
In particular, users can make consultation inquiries online directly via the main page, and execute a detailed search with regards to medical information and tourism.
Users can also access hospital treatment reviews, sharing medical activities, Gyeonggi Province promotional footage, and newsletters. The website is linked to Weibo in China as well as Facebook to help users share information conveniently.
A Gyeonggi Province official announced, “Not only we are planning to simply provide medical information, we will also continue to develop medical guide books, coupon books, and customized tourism products and add to the website.” The official added, “We will continue the improvement of mobile services to make use of the website more convenient for foreign patients.”
