 This year, Home Learn
has grown this much bigger

On March 15, Gyeonggi Province announced that it
recently reorganized the 2016 regular curriculum of its iconic free online courses
service,
Home Learn. It also announced the addition of more than 450
new courses in subjects that include reading guidance, travel conversation,
chronic fatigue treatment, and more.

With the provision of these new services, Home
Learn now offers more than 900 courses in six different fields including
foreign languages, national certification, information technology, living and
hobbies, management, and family-friendly subjects. This makes it the largest of
public online education services in Korea.

In the foreign language field, more than 200
courses have been opened in 17 languages including English, Chinese, Japanese,
French, Vietnamese, and Spanish. In addition, the Travel Conversation Course
taught by EBS star lecturer Shiny and developed internally by Home Learn has
attracted major interest with more than 1,000 students enrolling within just
five days of the opening of the course.

In terms of national certification, a large number
of new courses have been introduced to reflect the most recent exam trends as
well as legislative amendments in 2016. Courses in more than 33 certifications including
licensed real estate agent, vocational counsellor, housing manager, social
worker grade 1, qualification exam, Korean cuisine cooking license, and youth counsellor
grade 3 are on offer. Anyone who registers with the Home Learn website can
enroll in courses to help themselves earn national certificates for free.

Apart from this, the newly opened Goodbye Chronic Fatigue course can help Gyeonggi residents manage their
health, identify the causes of chronic fatigue, and teach people how to solve problems
with specific examples. The
Better
Safe than Sorry! I Ensure My Own Safety
course teaches preventative measures for various
safety hazards than can occur in everyday life and how to respond when
accidents happen.

The new professional course How to Become a Babysitter for middle-aged women and the Reading Guidance course that helps form correct reading habits will
help women who have left careers to get new jobs as well as people in the rearing
of their children.

Gyeonggi Province also plans on holding various events
for the month of March upon reorganizing the courses for 2016.

The event will select winners from among people
enrolled in the courses and reward them with gifts such as gift certificates,
children
s reading desks, travelling
book sets, alpine brand folding sticks, and more.

Celebrating its six year of operation since opening
in May of 2010, Gyeonggi Province
s
Home Learn program saw more than 1.37 million users last year alone. It has
become Gyeonggi Province
s
iconic free online education website and will continue to provide Gyeonggi
residents with lifelong learning opportunities.
