Distribution of Restaurant Hygiene Standards

The Provincial Office plans to distribute restaurant hygiene standards to restaurants in an effort to maintain a high level of public health and cleanliness.

To this end, between June 17 and August 10 the Office will make a comprehensive survey of the state of hygiene management in various sectors of domestic restaurants, including the entrance, kitchen, toilets as well as employees, aimed particularly at establishments sized 300㎡ or larger or those located near a train/subway station or a bus terminal.

The Office will also encourage restaurants to display their menu outside, keep the entire place clean and have their employees wear uniforms, giving an instruction to cities and regional administrative districts to do their best in keeping a vigilant eye over restaurants to ensure that they maintain a high level of hygiene.
