While Hak-kyu Sohn , governor of Gyeonggi-do, visited Spain in June 27, he has contracted an investment agreement (MOA) about the Goyang Sportsmall development with delegates from a Spain corporation. At the signing of the contract in Barcelona, debuty mayor of Goyang, Seok-wu Lee also attended.

The sportsmall construction, which was planned since 2000, will be promoted not later than next year. According to the agreement, construction finances will be procured for 6 months by the Spain corporation and the final investment contract on the foundation of a domestic investment corporation and other matters will be concluded later this year.

Gyeonggi-do plans to support this project according to the law and lease out Goyang ground without compensation for 30 years. According to the development plans from the Spain corporation, a total of 130 million dollars will be invested to 13 thousand pyeong of building site located in Janghang-dong, Ilsan, Goyang City. A 2,300 pyeong large race track for compact cars, water park, sports virtual experience space, golf academy, multiplex cinema and other cultural facilities will be established.
