Kyonggido Livestock and Veterinary Service will drive a full-scale epidemic measurement for livestock to minimize the damage from the intense heat or from flood disasters during the summertime every year.

First, all homepages related to livestock and farming will be updated with outlines of preventing livestock diseases during the summertime and when there is a flood disaster and also various information on measurements to prevent epidemics such as foot-and-mouth disease and swine fever will be posted up. One to one consulting will also be promoted by actively using billboards on sites.

Leading farmhouses by regional groups will be scouted and trained to guide neighboring farmhouses of advanced livestock technology and information and also provide medicines. Personal visits to vulnerable regions will also be enforced to reinforce breeding information to those who need education.

In addition, the Kyonggido Livestock and Veterinary Service will undergo a general inspection of the 8 disinfectant control vehicles, 66 mobile disinfectors, 16 sanitary vehicles and other epidemic equipment holdings. Emergency anti-epidemic medicine will be equipped to prepare for natural disasters.

Progressive serum inspection of mosquito intermediate epidemics such as the Akabane disease and Japanese encephalitis virus will be practiced to prevent summertime diseases. Plans to thoroughly resolve diseases infected by mosquito will be made to minimize miscarriages and stillborns.
