To relieve congestion of traffic during rush hours, Gyeonggi-do recommends using public transportation. For this, an exclusive bus lane has been established on the 23rd national highway which is a 1.6㎞ long road leading from Dongcheon-dong to the Geumgok(金谷) I.C. 

But due to the lack of preparations and the lack of recognition from users, many cases that question the use of the exclusive bus lane have occurred. 

Traffic congestion on the down line towards Suji (水枝) from Seoul has been occurring due to the exclusive bus lane on the 23rd national highway. To minimize this problem, the time when bus lane is operated will be extended for 2 more hours from the current 04 to 10 for upbound lane and 06 to 08 for the down lane. 

And also, for the convenience of homecoming people during the Korean holiday, Chuseok, the bus lane will not be operated from Sept. 9 to 15. 

Although there might be many faults to the exclusive bus lane, there still is a result of reducing about 15 min. with upbound buses towards Seoul during Sept. 1 to 3. 

The time of upbound buses towards Gangnam-gu, Seoul are expected to be reduced over 30 min. if the exclusive central bus lane and expressway is operated.
