The 4th Gyeonggi-do Folk Art Festival is held in Goyang-si, the city of culture and art. 

The festival will be held for two days, from Sept. 19 to 20, in Jungsan Park located in Goyang (高陽) City. 

The festival is a representative local event inheriting and advancing fold art. 25 groups and about 1,400 participants will participate the event and special attractions such as the Durenoli from Paju (坡州) City, Songpoho (松浦湖) Migeoli from Goyang City will be demonstrated. 

The festival will start on the 19th in the presence of the Gyeonggi-do provincial governor, Hak-gyu Sohn, local congress members, the mayor of Goyang City and others. 

In Sohn’s congratulatory address, he stressed the importance of maintaining traditional culture and experimenting traditions with modern trends for Korea to stand as a ‘leading culture nation’ of the 21C.
