“Hub Korea”, Held in Seoul with Multinational Corporations
As part of the activity to induce investment from multinational corporations to promote the economy in northeast Asia, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy (MOCIE) and the Korea Investment Service Center of KOTRA has held the “Hub Korea ; A Forum on Korea as a Northeast Asia’s business Hub” at the COEX ASEM hall in Seoul, on Sept. 24.
The event includes Business Leader’s Round Table where plans to promote Korea as the center of the economy in northeast Asia and investment policies have been presented, and observations on free economy regions, briefing sessions and other various programs has been prepared to encourage world-wide multinational corporations to establish their Asian main office in Korea.
43 multinational corporations including FEDEX (US), Shell (England), Daimler-Chysler (Germany), Alstom (Frances), Northrop (US), British Telecom (England), Johnson Control (US), Gale (US), and many other has visited Korea to attend the event.
The minister of MOCIE, KOTRA president, Korea Chamber of Commerce & Industry president, mayor of Incheon City, provincial governor of Jeonnam, deputy mayor of Pusan City and many more has attended.
