The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade plans to hold the fourth Korea-OECD joint seminar with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) under the subject “Korea as a Business Hub of Northeast Asia : Potentials and Policy Recommendations”, at the Chosun Hotel (Orchid Room, 2nd floor) in Sogong-dong, on October 14 and 15, 2003.
The purpose of the seminar is to hear the honest evaluation and expostulation from OECD and domestic experts on the core assignment of government to build Korea into the heart of northeastern economy. The director of OECD, Donald J. Johnston, directorate for Financial, Fiscal and Enterprise Affairs, William Witherell, Trade Directorate Jean-Marie Metzger, Public Governance and Territorial Development Directorate Odile Sallard, Directorate for Science, Technology and Industry, Dirk Pilat and other senior research workers will attend the seminar.
A discussion with critical depth on government strategies and potential ability to erect Korea as the economical heart of the northeast and discussion results will be applied to establish and enforce Korea into a economical core.
