About 600 model bathrooms within Gyeonggi-do will be specified and operated by the Gyeonggi government next year. 

The Gyeonggi government announced plans to lift its province image by improving lavatory culture with the participation of residents of the province on Nov. 12. 

Before actually plans are put into action, Gyeonggi-do will present an operation plan to manage public lavatories from researches, investigations on the actual conditions of bathrooms within the province and referring to models and management from advanced countries. 

Objects of research on actual conditions of lavatories are tourist attractions, cultural sites, parks, gas stations, terminals, station buildings and more. 

The provincial government will especially designate a total of 630 model lavatories, 235 from 1,181 public lavatories installed by cities and districts, and 395 from 1,984 multitude lavatories installed by private hands in places such as gas stations and terminals.
