Export in Masan Free Trade Area, Keangnam, is gradually climbing up. 
According to the Administration Agency of Masan Free Trade Zone, on Nov. 18, actual exports of unto last month of this year has recorded 3.56 billion dollars, which has increased 5.4% from 3.37 billion dollars from the same period last year. 

Until the second quarter, export has declined 6.5% compared to the same period of last year and export during the third quarter has increased 21.1%. But export of last month has evidently jumped 26.3% from the same period of last year. 

Especially, last month’s export of 532 million dollars is the tops all past monthly exports since the Masan Free Trade Area was first established in 1970. 

By the 95% increase of orders from America, Europe and Asian regions on mobile phones, digital cameras, IC products and more, export on electric and electronic products has recorded 3.41 billion dollars, which has increased by 6.2% and export on machinery recorded 20% and non-metal industries increased by 2.2%. 

Import of raw material relatively increased 6.2% and trade balance has been maintained in black for 10 months with a record of 1.13 million dollars, 10.8% of Korea’s total black balance. 

An official from the Administration Agency exclaimed, “If export gain continues till the end of the year, total export amount may succeed last year’s export of 4.12 billion dollars.”
