Gyeonggi-do extends airport limousine routes

The provincial government of Gyeonggi-do announced a plan to expand airport limousine routes to confront the demand in northern Gyeonggi and newly developed cities such as Gunpo and Sanbon, where the population has increased and also Gwangmyeong station which will open for service in April.
The increase of bus services will link Gunpo, Sanbon and northern Gyeonggi-to up to Dongducheon and routes will go by way of Gwangmyeong station.
Details of the route adjustment plan include coordinating Gwangmyeong train station in routes Suwon-Incheon Int’l Airport and Seongnam-Gimpo Int’l Airport.
For the convenience of residence residing in Gunpo and Sanbon, the existing Suwon-Incheon Int’l Airport route will be changed to Anyang-Gunpo, Sanbon-Incheon Int’l Airport.
And for the accommodation of Northern Gyeonggi-do residents, the existing Uijeongbu-Gimpo Int’l Airport-Incheon Int’l Airport route will be operated into two separate routes, Dongducheon-Uijeongbu-Incheon Int’l and Uijeongbu-Gimpo Int’l Airport-Gwangmyeong train station.
The operation of the adjustment plan will provide a convenient transportation environment for the residents in Gunpo, Sanbon and northern Gyeonggi region.
The Gyeonggi government will complete preparations such as publicity and raised the number of buses until February and then services of the newly adjusted routes will start in March.
