Famous international exhibitions like the Seoul Motor Show are moving their field of action from COEX (Convention and Exhibition Center), Seoul to KINTEX (Korea International Exhibition Center), Goyang that is awaiting its grand opening in April next year.

According to KINTEX on Feb. 13, the Seoul Motor Show, which is one of the famous shows held nationally, has already been set up to open as one of the opening events of KINTEX. CONEX Korea and other large-scaled exhibitions are already confirming on holding shows and other world-famous fairs are overlooking participation.

The Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association and Korea Auto Industries Coop. Association (KAICA) decided to co-host Seoul Motor Show 2005 at KINTEX in April last year.

The opening event, Seoul Motor Show is a spectacle event where both imported and home-manufactured motor vehicles are displayed.
Other international exhibitions such as the Food Korea, Seoul Pack, HARFKO (Heating, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Fluid Exhibition KOREA), CONEX Korea 2005, SIPREMIUM, Smart Home, Korea International Building Exposition 2005 and the Korea Convention Fair are in the finalizing stage to hold shows at KINTEX.
International Pacific Conference on Automotive Engineering, and other international science councils are following one another in taking place at the new convention center.
Unless there are any exceptional reasons, KINTEX explains exhibitions and conventions schedule will be proceeded as planed and marketing activities will put on full scale.
One of KINTEX officials remarked, “Since KINTEX is supported by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy (MOCIE) and the Gyeonggi-do government, most of MOCIE and provincial events will be held at KINTEX. KINTEX has the advantage in both facilities and scale and can hold shows on heavy machinery unlike COEX, which cannot open exhibitions related with large hard goods.”
