As foreign investment is concluded continuously within the Gyeonggi Province, the estate owned by foreigners and foreign corporations has suddenly increased.
According to the provincial government on Mar. 5, total land area owned by foreigners by the end of last year was 366,000 m2 (614 cases), which has increased largely from the year before with 354,000 m2 (564 cases) and from year 2001 with 349,000 m2 (492 cases).

As so, reasons why land owned by foreigners is increasing each year is because the investment of foreign corporations from the U.S., Japan, China and other countries are on full scale around development-promotion districts within the province.
