The Gyeonggi provincial government is promoting about 120 projects ranging from over 2 to 20 billion won this year.
The government announced on Apr. 9 that an evaluation committee for investing and financing large-scale projects was held.
Among a total of 124 projects (17 provincial projects, 107 municipal projects) the committee evaluated to push forward 27 projects as planned, promote 93 projects after modifying conditions and the remaining 7 projects has been put off.
The 27 projects that will be enforced, includes the construction of the global foreign enterprise R&D center, reconstruction of roads and brides, creating a transfer parking lot at Gunpo Station, constructing fishery market facilities near Gungpyeong Harbor in Hwaseong-si, building a subsidiary stadium at Icheon Stadium and extending facilities in Gonjiam Sewage Disposal Plant, Gwangju-si.
Through the decision of the committee, the provincial government will start to construct a global foreign enterprise R&D center by laying out about 11.8 billion won on a building site of about 7,000 ㎡.
In addition, 3.3 billion won will be used to repair roads (Route 322 local road) and 12.9 billion won will be put out to open Route 342 local road that will connect from Gonse-ri, Gaegun-myeon, Yangpyeong-gun to Wondeok-ri, Yangpyeong-eup (road length 2.4 ㎞ long).
Projects that will be approved after conditional implement includes the remodeling of Imjinkak will reflect local financing plans and a funding plan will be made.
The 4 pending projects including the Suwon History Museum and Calligraphy Museum were postponed because of insufficient traffic congestion solutions, review of project propriety and other reasons.
