All sorts of cultural events are expected in enfold at the Uijeongbu Arts Center, a center well-known performance hall for its superior infra that is the cultural center for not only northern Gyeonggi-do but also Kangbuk, northern part Seoul. 

The Uijeongbu Arts Center has held the ‘Uijeongbu Music Theater Festival’ every year around this time since 2002 and has attracted culture manias with its colorful performances. 

As the third festival to be held since 2002, the Uijeongbu Music Theater Festival 2004 will be held under a slogan of “Uijeongbu with the wing of RHYTHM, in May” at the Uijeongbu Arts Center. 

Musical plays to be performed in Uijeongbu are not the common everyday commercial musicals nor high level operas, but are spectacles such as European salon musicals and operettas, performances mixing music with dance or multimedia, and also traditional Korean.
