– At the Gyeonggi Small and Medium Business Center for three days from October 19, with 500 business people from 12 countries attending 

At the conference designed for regional economic development and co-prosperity, a total of 1,000-plus people will attend from the five member regions (i.e. Gyeonggi Province, Taipei Province of Taiwan, Kanagawa Province of Japan, Selanggor Provice of Malaysia, the Industrial Appraisal Corporation of Thailand) and those from non-member regions (i.e. China, including Hong Kong, Russia, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines). 

Side by side with the event held on the theme of “In search of a new paradigm of SMEs in the era of emerging Asian Economies,” the Gyeonggi Venture Expo 2004 will be held with 100-plus promising IT, BT and NT businesses both at home and abroad attending, along with the 2004 Export Businesses Meeting, to which 150-plus Asian trading businesses are invited. 

Since its first meeting in Kanagawa Province of Japan in 1990, the Conference for East Asian Business People has been held periodically among business people, scholars and government officials concerned from 5 member regions in East Asia as well as from non-member regions.
