A trade delegation from Gyeonggi-do participated in the International Security Conference (ISC) East 2004, held in NY from November 3~4, 2004, to provide 55 million dollars in consultations and net contracts worth 7.4 million dollars.

ISC EAST 2004 reflected the era of heightened safety awareness by the general public and clear growth in security-related industries after 9.11. A total of nine companies participated from Gyeonggi-do, including POSDATA and GSS Korea.

The main items highlighted by participating companies were DVR (Digital Video Recorder), LCD monitors for security, door locks with remote control and others. Local buyers and participants paid attention to the outstanding product capability and convenience, and in particular, the remote control door lock, a product from Sangmun Traco, enjoyed a positive evaluation from buyers. This product resulted in a stepping stone for advancement into the US market, to be followed by inroads to Japan.

The ISC EAST event celebrated its 36th anniversary this year as the most representative security exposition in the US, along with the ISC WEST, alongside the participation of major global companies such as ADI, Honeywell, Pelco, Panasonic, HID (global firm in security equipment) and approximately 400 other companies.
