– 8 companies sign 76 contracts worth $7.4 million in Croatia, Hungary, and Poland
Eight SMBs of great prospects visited Croatia, Hungry, and Poland as Market Pioneer Delegates between November 22 and 27. Their aggressive market excursion efforts resulted in 157 consultations totaling the net value of $31.6 million among which 76 worth $7.4 million are finalized.
This accomplishment is particularly impressive when taking into consideration the fact that the Central/ Eastern European markets have not been Korea’s active trade partners. It is expected that the delegates’ visit will set the basis for more number of large-scale export contracts by securing steady sales routes.
The delegate group consisted of SMBs of high-quality goods with superior competitiveness from Gyeonggi-do. Eight participating companies included a uniform manufacturer Hanil Textile from Shiheung and a high-tech security facility manufacturer Yousung Electronics from Bucheon.
The delegates visited Zagreb, Budapest, and Warsaw, which are the region’s financial centers and capital cities of Croatia, Hungary, and Poland. Business consultations have been positively responded to with over 50 product demonstrations and B2B meetings carried out daily.
KOTRA Export Center and local industry personnel suggested, “Establishing an SMB Joint-Logistics Center would prove to be an effective support measure. The key in exporting Korean products to the European market is to cut out as much time and expenses in transportation. The joint-logistics center will facilitate companies in making new entries and expanding the scope of their businesses.”
