– Gyeonggi-do Tourism Association Members and Gyeonggi Tourism Industry Personnel Join One Another for the New Year – 

The province’s tourism industry personnel will gather to discuss the industry development measures in coming of the Visit Gyeonggi Year at 5pm on December 30, 2004 at Suwon Tourist Hotel. 

The province’s tourism association will call for a board meeting to agree upon the development and cooperation measures in the New Year. In the social meeting to be followed, awards (1 MCT Award, 5 Provincial Governor Awards, 4 Gyeonggi Tourism Corporation President Award, 8 Gyeonggi-do Tourism Association President Awards) will be given out to persons who made contribution to development of the tourism industry in Gyeonggi-do. 

Government officials and industry personnel that represent the province’s tourism industry will attend the social meeting. Some of the participants will include the provincial governor Sohn Hak-kyu, assemblyman Kim Yeong-seon, Suwon Mayor Kim Yong-seo, president Kim Hyeon-tae of Gyeonggi Tourism Corporation, president Jeong Woon-shik of Korea Tourism Association, president Shin Jung-mok of Korea Tourist Pension Business Association, and president Park Yeong-il of Korean Folk Village. 

The host of this event, president Yoo Yeon-geol of Gyeonggi Tourism Association, stated, “This meeting will be an opportunity for businesses to prepare for improvement of service to be provided in Visit Gyeonggi Year 2005. The industry will put forward the utmost effort along with the province and the tourism corporation so that the event will be carried out successfully.”
