– Jung Jun-ho Designated as the Second PR Ambassador of Visit Gyeonggi Year – 

Jung Jun-ho, a leading Korean Wave star who represents the Korean movie industry in Japan, will be designated as the second PR Ambassador for Visit Gyeonggi year on January 6. 

Jung became popular through his movie Honor of the Family when it was screened in Japan. He was invited for an interview by Tsuyoshi Kusanagi, a member of an idol group SMAP. He may be a Korean Wave star to continue the trend in Japan. 

Jung is taking the baton from a professional golfer Park Ji-eun who was selected as the first PR Ambassador. He became an actor through MBC Talent Contest in 1995. He has become a top star through many works including Honor of the Family and Boss-Teacher-Father as One. He kindly agreed to work as a PR Ambassador for the Visit Gyeonggi Year despite his busy schedule. 

Jung will receive the official designation at 5:30pm on January 6 from the provincial governor Sohn Hak-kyu. He will also hold a press conference about his thoughts and plan about the designation. 

A provincial officer said that the Visit Gyeonggi Year is designed to make the world know about the excellence of Korean culture and tourism resources. Many popular persons from different sectors will act on be half of the province to better market the year to international society.
