The Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation’s World Peace Festival Team (Leader: Kang Joon-hyuk) is holding a session to report the results of the activities of the 70-odd participants in the College Student Peace Messenger events at the Gyeonggi Province’s Public Employee Training Center on March 26.
At the session, they will report the details of their activities, including episodes they experienced during the 7-day events held from February 21 in East Timor, Israel/Palestine, (Russia’s) Maritime Province of Siberia and Germany.
The 70-plus peace messengers who participated in joint peace-promotion activities, including medical services, with peace organizations and students from other countries will receive a certification for such voluntary activities from Gyeonggi Governor Sohn Hak-kyu. They also plan to publish the white paper introducing their activities carried out so far.
They are scheduled to watch the Korea-Argentina competition of the Suwon International Youth Football Tournament 2005 on March 26. They will also make a tour to the DMZ and participate in the Peace Mob event and the Peace March and carryout PR activities.
