Happy Family with Cherry Blossoms 

Gyeonggi-do will open the provincial office building to the public between 10AM and 10PM everyday from April 9 through 17. The opening is scheduled during the season for cherry blossom. 

This is the 19th year that the event takes places. It has been providing the residents with comfortable and pleasant recreational area used for gatherings of lovers, families, and friends since it was first launched in 1987. 

The Cherry Blossom event has become an arena for provincial unity and harmony built upon the beauty of flowers. Special lightings will be installed for night view landscaping along with sun umbrellas and information booths to facilitate the visitor convenience. Goods manufactured by the disabled will be displayed and sold within the premise. A special shop for Korean livestock products will be opened alongside an outlet for Gyeonggi Cyber Marketplace as well. 

A special program is planned for April 16 when visitors will be able to take photographs with the provincial governor in the office garden between 3:30PM and 4:30PM. 

A PR booth for the 3rd World Ceramic Biennale will be opened at the event site to raise public awareness to encourage participation of more people from across the world. 

A provincial official asked for people’s active involvement in the event that promotes family love and caring through the slogan “With the Cherry Blossoms, With the Family.”
