– Commerce Workshop from Civil Officers from Gyeonggi-do and Chuncheongnam-do – 

Gyeonggi-do and Chungcheongnam-do will hold a joint commerce workshop for 70 provincial and city civil officials as a part of the Collaborative Development Program in Cheonan Sangrok Resort between May 19 and 20. 

This workshop will include specialist lectures on international trade environment featuring: 

o Recent trend and task in international trade, o Understanding trade marketing, and o International stand of and political economic status in newly industrialized countries in Asia such as China and India. 

Major international trade support policies from each or both province(s) will be introduced, and a presentation on benchmark projects will be made. The workshop participants will study and share their experience and know-how while carrying out individual research tasks on trade work development. Measures of dispatching a joint-delegate group to India in October and participating in international exhibitions in Korea as collaborative partners will be featured during the free discussion time. 

The Gyeonggi-do & Chungcheongnam-do Joint Commerce Workshop is the first work to be drawn out in details among the Collaborative Development Program. Vice Governor 1 Jeong Chang-seop for Administrative Affairs from Gyeonggi-do and Vice Governor Yoo Deok-jun for Administrative Affairs from Chungcheongnam-do will visit the workshop site to encourage participating civil officers. 

A provincial officer from Gyeonggi-do stated, “The greatest significance of the workshop is that it will be the first step into a mutually beneficial relationship for Gyeonggi-do and Chuncheongnam-do. It will be an opportunity for civil officers from both provinces to better understand one another while moving towards an intimate partnership. We will strive to sincerely discuss and put resolutions into practice with an aim to contribute to the provincial and national economy.”
