Gyeonggi Province holds International Youths Marine Camp

The Gyeonggi Provincial Office and the Gyeonggi Youth Center (President: Lee Cheon-woo) are holding the International Youths Marine Camp for a total of 180 youths in the province, including 61 foreign youths (40 Americans and 21 Taiwanese), for six days from August 8 on the occasion of the Visit Gyeonggi-Korea 2005. 

It is hoped that the camp will province a chance for the youths of the three countries to build friendships with each other and realize the importance of natural environment through field trips to tidal flats. 

The program also includes visits to the Folk Village, the Gyeonggi Provincial Museum, the Yeoju Ceramic Exposition 2005, the Imjingak Pavilion, Dorasan Station near DMZ, the third underground tunnel dug by North Korea, and the International Peace Camp. 

The participating youths will also be engaged in introduction of their own traditional cultures, and presentations concerning priority pending issues of the global village.
