The provincial office welcomes officials from Guangdong Province, China

On August 19, a team of high-ranking officials of Guangdong Province headed by Ou Guang yuan, Deputy Secretary and Executive Adviser, paid a visit to the provincial office and discussed ways of mutual cooperation after being briefed on the six leading farming polices adopted by the provincial office.
The Chief of the Agricultural Affairs Bureau of the Gyeonggi Provincial Office made a forty-minute briefing on what the provincial office was doing about enhancement of the quality of agricultural produce, production of environmental-friendly produce, provision of support for farmers and fishermen, invigoration of distribution of livestock products, increase of exports, development of tourism industry involving rural areas, training farming experts, and securing larger green areas. The visiting Chinese officials expressed deep interest in the province’s farming policies, calling them “unique and advanced.”
Vice Governor for Administrative Affairs Chung Chang-sup asked for the Chinese’ deep interest in the ongoing formation of a traditional garden park which will be completed in November and cooperation for brisker mutual economical exchanges.
The Chinese delegation will also pay a visit to the Agricultural Exhibition Hall of the Rural Development Administration before leaving Korea on August 22 to see the status of agricultural development of Russia.
Guangdong Province has pushed ahead with exchanges with Gyeonggi Province in various fields, including economy, sports, tourism, since the signing of the relevant agreement. It is one of the provinces that have shown the highest per-capita income in China through remarkable progress since the country’s adoption of the open-door policy.
