Variety of summer events in mountain and valley is now waiting for our children as summer holiday begins. Special summer event will be a great present for children but parents become apprehensive for their children’s safety. 

Gyeonggi province and Gyeonggi Afforestation Foundation has planned to open a training class for the lectures of the Forest Experience School and the instructors of the Forest Recreation Class from June 21 till 23 at Seoul Health College located in Seongnam city. First aid treatment required for the outdoor activities will be trained during this class.

Tailored qualification test of the first aid treatment for the outdoor event is to be implement for the first time in Korea!
Safety class for the Forest Experience School, which is used to be the regular course to be completed by the professional emergency medical technicians, takes 20 hours of the practical trainings. First aid treatment needed for the water activities and outdoor events such as CPR, respiratory obstruction treatment, traumatic injury treatment and etc. will be learnt during this class. Emergency treatments against children’s temperature drop and/or rise or bites by wild animals and/or insects will also be instructed.

34 lecturers, instructors and researchers from the Forest Experience School of Chukryung Mountain, Green School of Water Scent Garden, and Forest Environment Research Unit of Gyeonggi province will participate in this training class.

After the completion of such course, the Korean Emergency Medical Technicians Organization will grant each trainee a certificate of qualification for the Emergency medical Technician.

Gyeonggi province is doing its utmost to train every lecturer and instructor to be perfectly trained for the outdoor safety so to make parents of each children feel secured and safe for their outdoor events.” said the Afforestation Team manager of Gyeonggi province, Yoo Bumgyu.
