– A new bus system leads off!

A new brand and its application matrix for Gyeonggi’s bus which was developed to standardize and upgrade the level of provincial bus were finalized in July, 2006.

The final plan was originated from the draft plan designed under a program of Brand Development for Gyeonggi Bus that is one of the provincial comprehensive plans for public transportation. Reflecting the opinions and ideas of concerned parties, local cities and counties, transportation enterprises and citizens, the final plan has been settled.

40 different kinds of local bus operated until today are now unified into a single brand and unique design to easily classify the type and functions of each bus. Also, the information cover used interior and exterior of the bus for the name of the bus company, route, destination and stopovers are now standardized for an easy recognition.

A new brand will also dedicate itself to provide the best transportation service to the bus users under the supervision of local province and bus union. Representing the provincial transportation, the local province and Gyeonggi’s bus union will take responsibilities to appoint the right painting and coating enterprise, proceed the given plan, and inspect the final job.

70% of an annual budget, KRW 1,793 million will be invested to change the design of the bus and information cover for the 1,708 units of local buses and from September a brand new bus with a fresh style will be on the road for customers.

As a yearly plan for the new bus brand, Gyeonggi will make a change for 2,731 units by 2007, and 3,048 units until 2008.

– Red color in the center: Aggressive spirit of Gyeonggi for the dynamic development
– Orange color at the top: Customer satisfaction

2. Application Matrix
O Basic color of the exterior: Classification matrix used in Seoul and Incheon are used to
prevent any confusion which may occur among the bus users in the metropolitan areas. However, for the peculiarity of Gyeonggi province, the colors that are more natural are used.
– Direct bus: Red, Seat bus: Blue, City bus: Green, Local bus: Yellow
