Gyeonggi province is to open a great rendezvous event in the Gyeonggi Korean Traditional Music Center with 330 foreign women residents in Korea, defectors from North Korea and other women.

This Gyeonggi’s provided cultural exchange program is to give opportunities to every foreign woman resident in Korea to understand better about the Korean culture and to assist them to become a part of our community.

Thru this event, Korean native women and foreign residents will be able the set up a close relationship together by participating in the various performances and events.

Various Korean traditional games, events and play will be provided such as ‘Beautiful Korean Wedding’ showing the Korean traditional wedding, ‘Taepyoungso Play’, ‘Try-on Hanbok’, ‘Jeki Game’, and etc. Not only the Korean traditional events are to be held, but also the foreign cultural shows such as ‘Mongol traditional dance’, ‘Ssibichai’ which is the traditional dance of Thailand and etc. are also waiting to be seen.

“Using each other’s traditional cultures, we will be able to share the ideas and feelings and to build a friendship. And also this will be another good chance for Korea to show our cultures to the world.”, said the official from the Gyeonggi province.

Apart from this coming event, the province in last July has already opened a Cultural Exchange Festival for the 80 people of Korean and US woman soldiers.
