Express drive way from Daehwa to Susaek

As a revamp of public transportation in Gyeonggi, the Bus Rapid Transit, so called BRT system, will have its opening ceremony on the 27th after more than a year long(1 yr and 8mths) period of preparation.

Gyeonggi’s new BRT track connects 15.6km from Seoul to Susaek, required for the investment of KRW29.0 billion including KRW24.3 billion from the local province and KRW5.2 billion from the local city department. More to the convenient facilities provided to the bus users such as express bus ways, comfortable benches and etc., the intelligence system will also be equipped at every bus stop showing various information re bus and bus movement.

BRT system is equipped with various features and functions to realize the fastest bus way to the bus users, such as bus exclusive drive way, convenient walkways for transit, prioritized traffic signal for bus, intelligence bus information system, and etc.

Since there are very many events and festival take place in Goyang city such as Flower Exhibition at KINTEX, and many other events at the Tour & Cultural Village, immediate revamp in the local transportation system had been longing by many residents.

The traffic congestion issue, which is caused by the passenger car prioritized driveways and many of local redevelopment projects, became the chronic problem for the local residents.

Every year, Gyeonggi province, with this successful BRT system which cut down 11 minutes of transit time, will be able to save KRW18.7 billion which were used to be wasted for traffic congestion cost.
