Korean language class for foreign brides and grooms
To assist foreign brides and grooms to adapt themselves into Korean culture and environment, many number of Korean language classes are available around the town. Approximately, 50 persons of female volunteers, who currently teach Korean language within the province, are selected to have Gyeonggi¡?s specially provided teaching courses.
This specially set up program, which is formed with 5 courses of 6 hours, will be available every Saturday from November 11 till December 16 at Suwon campus of Kyunghee University.
Various courses such as basic teaching instruction, listening, reading, and writing of Korean that are to be fully understood before teaching anyone, will be offered. Also, to guide them to bring strong relationship between different cultures, they will be provided with the teaching method for cultures, Korean traditions and community and etc.
Rather than teaching only a language, this course will guide volunteer teachers to give more active and realistic lessons to the foreigners which will be much more beneficial to the new settlers in Korea.
“With this special program as a momentum, we will try to shift volunteer teachers into the experts of Korean language. Also, with this opportunity particularly made for women teachers, we will not only be able to provide better education services to foreigners but also be able to raise women’s participation in the local community.” said the official in the Gyeonggi province.
