Gyeonggi to form an alliance with other districts for better disaster prevention & restoration services
Gyeonggi has formed an alliance with other districts such as Incheon, Chungcheongnamdo and etc. to provide prompt services at the calamities or unexpected disaters, reported on the 11th.
In September, Central Disaster Relief Unit had introduced this plan which will allow more efficient and faster restoration process at any disasters.
As a start, Gyeonggi has signed an agreement of ‘Supportive System at Disaster’ with Incheon and Chungcheongnamdo, which are closely neighbored with Gyeonggi. Provinces with this system will be able to share and assist each other for equipment, resources and etc. that are needed at the calamities.
With this alignment agreed, if there is no specific reason not to provide such services, the head manager of each local’s Disaster Relief Unit will be providing support requested by the district under the calamities or disaster. Also, the head manager who is to receive the support from, will have to take proper measure to make the others to give support in more convenient ways, such as to give free pass ticket for motorway use and etc.
“With this mutual agreement of all the districts, we will be able to bring much faster process in sharing the equipment and resources for restoration from the disaster and also to share the information of any further potential disasters, which eventually protect the life and property of local citizens against any disasters or calamities.”, said the manager of Gyeonggi’s Disaster Prevention Department.
