Gyeonggi’s provincial governor Kim, Moon-soo participated in the ‘Agreement Ceremony for the New City in Pyeongtaek Harbor’ on Dec. 27th at the Seoul Plaza Hotel, encouraging 5 parties entered into an Agreement (Pyeongtaek city, Daeryeon Hwaheung Private Company, KDB, and Shinhan Bank ) and also highlighting that Gyeonggi will do utmost to have a successful launch of the New city in Pyeongtaek harbor and Industrial Complex. 

This Agreement will direct 7 super plans for Pyeongtaek such as Pyeongtaek’s Regional Development upon the transfer of US Army Base Camp in 2008, FEZ, IT Comprehensive Plan and etc. and it also includes 13 provisions which will support 3 projects to be implemented for Pyeongtaek such as Construction of Pyeongtaek Harbor City, Internationalization of the District, and the Resort for Pyeongtaek Lake Side.

Two hundred participants came to celebrate this Agreement including the Chinese Embassy Commercial Business Advisor, Chairman of Daeryeon Hwaheung, President of Shinhan Bank, and Vice Governor of Gyeonggi’s Administrational Office.

“Pyeongtaek holds the greatest value out of all the regions of Korea, China, and America. It sure is a great decision by China with Daeryeon Hwaheung to invest into Pyeongtaek. Thru this Agreement, the whole world will see that Great China has made a very successful decision.”, said the Governor.

“I would like to give a special thanks to the Chairman of Daeryeon Hwaheung for his continuous attention and investment to Korea. This will be the very first step for Chinese, Korean, and American to enjoy a true freedom, peace and future.”, continued by the Governor.
