Chuseok is only a few days away. Although the holiday is short this year, from September 13 (Sat) to 15 (Mon), people are just as excited about Chuseok this time as they have been in the past. Considering that it is a short holiday and many people are on a tight budget, a low-cost trip may be a good idea for people looking for a short family trip during the holidays.

Imjingak Pyeonghwanuri, Folk Village and Everland offer various events that provide learning experiences and enjoyable times. The Gyeonggi Tourism Organization (President Lim Byeong-soo) offers suggestions regarding a few sites that are suitable for families seeking a short family trip this holiday.

– Regular Performance on Sundays
With Music! With Family!
Wouldn’t the holidays be happier with music and family?
The Gyeonggi Tourism Organization will organize a ‘Picnic Concert Festival’, a regular performance on Sundays, at Imjingak Pyeonghwanuri for 90 minutes starting at 6 pm on September 14. The subject of this performance, in which the Gyeonggido Rhythm Ensemble will participate, is ‘A Journey to World Music’. The performance will include a fusion band featuring electric violin; a wide variety of music from many countries will be performed as well as Korean folk songs.

The souvenir exhibition at Imjingak/Pyeonghwanuri, which opened on September 5, is another attraction for families. The unique design idea of ‘I’m,’ which has been taken from the name ‘Imjingak’, may be another interesting aspect. The movie ‘Giant’ will be screened at 8 pm on the 13th (Saturday), so visitors are recommended to check this before their visit.
