Gyeonggi Province has signed an investment deal with Japanese logistics company.
Under the deal signed in Singapore, BIDC Japan will invest 50 million dollars over the next three years to build a warehouse for auto parts and an auction site for imported cars in Pyeongtaek Port on the west coast.
In return, Gyeonggi Province will exempt the company from rent and taxes while providing subsidies for employment and job training.
BIDC is a multinational consortium between Korea’s Daewoo Logistics and two Japanese logistics companies. Its subsidiary, BIDC Japan, has large-scale logistical operations in Singapore.
Gyeonggi Province also held an investment road show for about 70 large logistics companies in Singapore.
