“The dreams of those who do not strive to achieve are simply daydreams, but the dreams of those who take action become reality,” said global soccer star Park Ji-Seong at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Park Ji-Seong Youth Soccer Center on October 6, 2009. The Center will be built in Mangpo-dong, Suwon City. Mr. Park added, “I hope to create a better soccer culture, which focuses on enjoyment over competition.”

He also said, “Korea has become a leading country for soccer in Asia, advancing to the semi-finals at the 2002 World Cup Games and dispatching many star players to foreign teams. However, we still have a long way to go. I am very pleased to imagine that this soccer center will become the birthplace of global talents.”

To be completed in May of 2010, the Center will consist of a clubhouse with one basement and two aboveground floors as well as two official youth soccer fields (60x40m) with artificial turf. The site is located at the Seed Management Office of Gyeonggi-do Agricultural Research & Extension Services, which is next to Park Ji-Seong Park, and spans 15,658 sqaure meters.

Park Ji-Seong also plans to establish the Ji-Seong Football Club (JSFC) and to operate European-style football education programs for children from the ages of 6 to 13. He plans to establish domestic and foreign branch offices as well.
