Tsukatani Korea Corp. landed in Gyeonggi!

On the 12th, Tsukatani Korea opened its new plant in the Jangan High Tech Industry Village of Hwasung, manufacturing industrial mold so-called pinnacle die.

Hosted by the President of Tsukatani Korea, Suzuki Shunsuke, there were approximately 50 VIPs gathered to congratulate the opening of its new plant, including the Vice Governor of Gyeonggi’s Administration Department, Cheong, Changseob, Honorary Chairman of Tsukatani Japan, and Mr, Shunsuk, the President of Tsukatani Toshiya.

Tsukatani Hamono of Japan, who is the head quarter for Tsukatani Korea submitted LOI to Gyeonggi in May 2005, indicating the intention of having a plant here in Gyeonggi. And in August, just in 3 months after the submission of LOI, both concluded the site location for a new plant and had a groundbreaking ceremony in May this year.

Pinnacle die that will be produced and sold by Tsukatani Korea thru its local plant, is the kind of molds requiring high end technology as to make LCD films, making thin paper, film and etc., and they are used in the various markets such as seal, label, bill paper and etc.

Tsukatani Hamono of Japan is globally known for its specialty in industrial mold production, boasting of great research and development skills and production capacity. In Japanese market, they are holding 90% market share in the business form production, 50% in the Thomson mold market, and more than 60% in the pinnacle die.

The location where Tsukatani has landed at is the place with a lot of potential for foreign companies, where many high tech companies such as IT and LCD related players from overseas have already residing in. Just in the last month, Tokyo Electron Korea Solution, the affiliate of Tokyo Electron of Japan and German affiliated, Atotech Korea had their own ceremony of opening of their new plants. Upon the completion of Jangan-2 Village, there will be many different kinds of industrial companies playing in the related market. And this brings another expectation to see more of work places for the locals.

Vice Governor of Gyeonggi Administration Department, Cheong, Changseob highlighted the importance of having more foreign companies in Gyeonggi and also made his commitment to give more support to the foreign companies for more convenient and successful business operations in Gyeonggi, thru his welcoming speech.
