The Heilongjiang Economic Delegation of China visits Pyeongtaek Hyeongok to study the attraction of foreign investment.

The Heilongjiang Economic Delegation (Chief: Ju Jukryeo) of the Chinese Government  visited a foreign-invested enterprise support center and industrial complex in the Pyeongtaek Hyeongok area on April 7 (Wednesday).

The Heilongjiang Economic Delegation consisted of 21 economic officials and national entrepreneurs including Ju Jukryeo, executive vice-president of a commercial organization, and Wang Libgun, chief of a financial service authority. They visited a Gyeonggi foreign-invested enterprise support center to hear explanations about the investment environment and foreign investment support policies of Gyeonggi Province, and also participated in a tour of a foreign-exclusive industrial complex.

The delegation members expressed considerable interest in Gyeonggi¡¯s foreign-invested enterprise support center and close support of foreign-invested enterprises, and asked a number of questions regarding the operations and accomplishments of the center.

Notably, Ju Jukryeo stressed that if Gyeonggi Province and Heilongjiang facilitate mutually complementary industrial investment initiatives through close cooperation, the resulting synergy effects benefit both sides, which would be especially meaningful considering the growing economic inter-reliance of both nations. She also explained the Chinese government’s foreign investment promotion policies, evidencing high expectations in the areas of investment and trade.

A Gyeonggi Province official said, “In order to attract investment from China, which has recently been showing considerable interests in foreign investment, our investment attraction activities for China are being strengthened. We are also planning to build cooperative relationships for investment attraction with each local government and economic development zone.”
