Renowned Korean golfer Choi Na-Youn visited the Gyeonggi Provincial Government Complex on September 24th and made a donation of KRW 30 million. She also expressed her appreciation to Governor Kim Moon-Soo for supporting a golf tournament held in July.

Choi Na-Youn, a Korean famous golfer (22), visited the Gyeonggi Provincial Government Complex and met Governor Kim Moon-Soo, to whom she presented a donation of KRW 30 million.
She made this visit to express her appreciation to Governor Kim for supporting the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic held in the US on July 4, 2010, and to make a donation to the Muhandolbum Program.
She said that she was happy to give a little help to the people in her hometown and hopes to be remembered as a good player. Governor Kim replied that she is a good golfer as well as compassionate.
Born in Osan, Gyeonggi Province, Choi Na-Youn has won the LPGA championship three times between 2009 and 2010, and finished second four times in other events including the US Women Open held this year.
She has donated “Loving Hand” scholarships to child heads of households every year since attending the Daewon Foreign Language High School, and once made a donation of KRW 60 million to help children who hospitalized at Konkuk University Hospital.
The Gyeonggi Provincial Government has carried out the “Muhandolbum Program” since November 2008. The program, the first of its kind in the nation, is geared to provide comprehensive aid to disadvantaged households. The provincial government has undertaken various welfare initiatives through the Muhandolbum Centers established in 16 cities or counties.
