8 Manufacturers Take Part Including Saerom Cosmetics 

The Gyeonggi Provincial Government and the Gyeonggi Small & Medium Business Center (GSBC, Chief Executive Officer: Hong Gi-Hwa) will run a taskforce entitled “Northern Region’s Specialized Project for Western Europe Distribution MD” from November 29th to December 3rd with the manufacturers of 8 special goods and daily consumer products.

According to the province, the taskforce was created through consultative visits made by trade officials to 10 cities and districts in northern Gyeonggi and propelled to reinforce the overseas market launch of region-oriented special goods and consumer products. Especially with the Korea-European Union FTA in effect, this taskforce is expected to bring new export streams and help the trade efforts of enterprises in the northern region conditions while targeting distributable PB goods. The companies in the northern area will also benefit from the opportunity to meet visiting representatives of enormous-but-difficult-to-meet global distributors from developed nations; the northern companies have suffered a disadvantage in this regard relative to those in the southern region due to small business volume. 

The taskforce will meet with some of the largest European distributors such as Carrefour; representatives of Saerom Cosmetics Co., Ltd., Gadeuk Industry, Woo Jung Co., Korea Miottica Co., Ltd. and other 4 enterprises will also participate in these meetings. 

GSBC President Hong Gi-Hwa said, “This is a crucial time for small businesses to secure information on cutting-edge trend analysis and diversify export trade links with Western Europe distributors.” Hong added, “Through the taskforce, I am confident that the enterprises in the north can become self-motivated powers in the enhancement of their exports.”
