Gyeonggi invited CEOs of Japanese-invested companies to a meeting
to offer consolation and support their investment activities
Gyeonggi Province invited CEOs of Japanese-invested companies and officials of KOTRA and other relevant organizations to a meeting for CEOs of Japanese-invested companies presided over by Governor Kim Moon-soo at Pyeongtaek where foreign investment zones are concentrated on March 24th.
Gyeonggi Province explained that the meeting was designed to offer consolation to Japanese companies which have suffered direct and indirect damage from the devastating earthquake and to help them conduct business activities without difficulties.
Currently, 514 Japanese-invested companies (336 manufacturing, 178 services) are operating in Gyeonggi Province. About 40 people including around 30 CEOs of Japanese-invested companies and officials of relevant organizations participated in the meeting.
Gyeonggi Governor Kim Moon-soo had discussions on future business activities in the wake of damage done to Japanese parent companies and contractors, and said the Province would provide full support to the afflicted companies.
The Province operates ‘SOS-Desk’ within Gyeonggi Support Center for Foreigners in order to resolve any grievances in business activities arising from the earthquake that hit Japan.
