‘Medical Tourism Complex’ to be Built in Donggyo-dong, Pocheon

According to Yonhap News,
Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province pushes forward to construct a medical tourism complex in Donggyo-dong, Pocheon city.
The City said on March 28th that it announced a basic plan, commissioned to Regional, Cultural & Tourism Development Company, at the briefing session on Pocheon medical tourism complex.
A medical tourism complex is a combination of medical treatment and recreation. Pocheon is considering the establishment of a medical park, healing park, sports and cultural center, and research institute on the area of 368,000m2 in Donggyo-dong.
The City plans to attract investment for the project.
An official of Eco-City Development Division of Pocheon said “Pocheon is a recreational city with great natural environment in the Seoul Metropolitan Area, so we believe that a medical tourism complex has economic feasibility as a new growth engine.”
