Gyeonggi Province and GSBC hosted the ‘G-Business Establishment Festival’ on November 28th at the Gyeonggi Small & Medium Business Center to mark the achievements of the G-Business Establishment Project, which provides one-stop support for aspiring business founders. On the same day, a ceremony was hosted for a company donation of KRW 300 million.

Approximately 500 people participated in this event including Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Moon-soo, Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly Economic Investment Chairman Kim Gi-seon, Gyeonggi College of Science and Technology President Han Young-soo, representatives of public institutions, business personnel, and aspiring business founders.

In his words of encouragement, Governor Kim Moon-soo said, “You’re walking the path of pioneers. There are thorns, wolves, and even swamps in front of you. People around you will ask why you are walking such a dangerous road. They’ll oppose you and tell you to live the life of a normal office worker. There will be many days in which you will regret your decision. But there will also be those of you who succeed. Gyeonggi Province will give you its full support for your success.”

President Han Young-soo said, “In the past, establishing a business was done in order to make a living. But now, business establishment is planned, and it aims for success. You will become the seeds of the future. You’ll provide us with engines for future growth in 10, 20 years.”

During this event, the exhibition of business founder’s achievements, the presentation of excellent cases, the ceremony for a donation by a successful company, and a special lecture by a successful business founder took place.

The exhibition hall was divided into the 2030 Business Establishment Hall, the 4050 Business Establishment Hall, the Women Business Establishment Hall, the Senior Business Establishment Hall, and the Mobile Business Establishment Hall. Successful G-Business Establishment Project participants operated 82 booths and presented promising items they have developed to the public.

Of particular note, Shin Hyun-kuk, President & Founder of Opticis Co., Ltd., donated KRW 300 million to support the success of up-and-coming business founders. Opticis graduated from the business establishment training center and was publicly listed on KOSDAQ last July.

During the excellent case presentation, 10 companies including the low-temperature plasma sterilizer company LowTem Co., Ltd., introduced successful business establishment cases. The cases presented were evaluated according to many aspects including technology, marketability, and business value to determine future developmental directions.

During the special lectures by successful business founders, Lee Young-seok, CEO of Chonggakne Company delivered a lecture. By describing the various business difficulties and successes he has experienced, Lee introduced his business establishment know-how.

The G-Business Establishment Project facilitates successful business establishment by supporting entrepreneurs who possess exceptional ideas or new technologies but face difficulties due to insufficient funds or lack of knowledge in business establishment procedures. The project led to 248 business registrations (new business), 682 new jobs, 360 knowledge property filings, KRW 11.9 billion in sales, and the location of 77 companies in the BI Center of the province.

GSBC President Hong Ki-hwa said, “Business establishment must minimize risks with thorough preparation and information in order to increase the likelihood of success.” He continued, “GSBC will provide custom support systems including the G-Business Establishment Project, the Business Establishment Training Center, and the Venture Building for each stage in business growth. We’ll actively support the business founders in the realization of their success.”
